Skincare Myths Busted: What Really Works

Hi friends,

I know how confusing skincare can feel — especially when there’s so much advice, trends, and products all around us. Over the years, I’ve fallen for my share of myths, and I want to share what I’ve learned so you don’t have to make the same mistakes.

Myth 1: Oily skin doesn’t need moisturizer
When I was a teenager, I thought skipping moisturizer would stop the oiliness. But what I learned is that hydration actually helps balance oil production. Using a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer is key — it keeps your skin comfortable and calm without clogging pores.

Myth 2: More products = better results
I’ve tried 10-step routines before — and honestly, they stressed me out more than helped my skin. Skincare doesn’t have to be complicated. A few targeted products — a cleanser, serum, moisturizer and a SPF— can give amazing results.

Myth 3: Expensive products are always better
Price doesn’t guarantee results. What really matters are good ingredients and thoughtful formulation. That’s why when I created Berry Skin, I wanted to make effective skincare accessible to everyone.

Myth 4: Skincare gives instant glow
Healthy skin takes time, care, and consistency. Ingredients like niacinamide, PDRN, and fruit extracts gently improve your skin over time, giving you that natural radiance we all want.

What I want you to remember: skincare works best when it’s simple, consistent, and designed for your real life. Trust your skin and focus on what it needs — not the ads or the trends.

With love,
Founder, BerrySkin.
